Birth photography is something special. It requires discretion, trust and open communication. It requires the ability to see into the heart and soul of a new Mumma as she musters every last ounce of energy she has to bring her baby earthside. It requires strength to support Daddy as he sits by stoically, wishing he could share the physical burdens too. It requires constant observation and effort to ensure that every moment is captured, but staff are able to go about their important roles without intrusion. To be invited into a birthing space is an honour. To witness and capture the miracle of life is something that one can never grow weary of. Every birth is unique, every experience is new.

I am also excited that I can now offer videography services to my birth photography clients in select hospitals through-out Brisbane and South East Qld. This service is very dependant upon the individual circumstances and policies of the hospital, so please do ask when you enquire with me as it certainly offers a different kind of depth to telling your beautiful story.
The intimacy of birth photography is such that the sensitive images are not always ones that my clients feel comfortable in sharing publicly. They are kept in a precious family album, a gift to their children as they grow, and memories that they hold close to their hearts. I am so very grateful though, that with their permission, I am able to share some intimate, and beautiful births with you.
